Description of Role:
Confirming that all displays, products, and services comply with company standards.
Cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction.
Ensuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors, removing trash, and confirming that tools are in working order.
Following all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies.
Preparing special orders and party trays.
Providing responsive, exceptional service to deli counter customers by answering questions, making recommendations, providing samples, and responding to requests.
Recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing meats and cheeses.
Updating displays, cases, and other customer-facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased.
A Deli Clerk's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assisting in other duties, as assigned, washing dishes, sanitizing, and much more goes in to our daily, hourly and nightly closing procedures.
Dynamically selling product by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions.
Filling, maintaining and rotating products and displays (FIFO) first-in first-out.
Maintaining Labriola's high standards for product freshness and sanitation.
Operating full line deli service counter, providing customers with their shopping list. Including; olives, salads, meat and cheese. We will teach you how to use clean all slicers and deli equipment.
Preparing special orders and party trays (Being the hands of the customer).
Providing premier customer service, including greeting them and responding to questions.
Selecting and packaging products ordered by customers (filling product cases, displays and getting the store ready for opening or closing procedures to set up for next day service).
Skills & Requirements:
A courteous and efficient approach to handling customer requests, questions, and complaints.
Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
Ability to lift heavy items, ranging from 25 to 50 lbs., and operate equipment, such as meat and cheese slicers, scales, and adapting to our system.
Culinary background and/or food service background
Deli counter or food preparation experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Excellent customer service, communication, organization, cleanliness, and math skills.
Ability to handle food-prep
Health Safety Course (Food Handling Management Serve Safe)
High School Diploma or Higher/Military Service also welcome to apply
Minimum age requirement of 18
Your schedule must be open for the days that you are assigned to work. Flexible during school breaks, weekdays, weekends, nights, and early shifts. We are looking to give a future worker/employee 40-hour work week. The shifts are listed above we are open seven days a week, and closed major holidays. We are family operated store and we are seeking individuals who are passionate about food, work and want to grow with our company.
$11.00 to $18.00 hourly.
Competitive pay, based on worker history, status, resume or expertise. Payment terms are based on hours worked. Payment are made weekly.
